BSN – Balanced Seed Nutrients

In 1999 RLF released the BSN range of seed primers and was the first company in the world to commercialise seed priming technology in broadacre cropping.

'BSN' is a range of all-Australian [crop specific] broad spectrum nutrient seed primers that are the culmination of many years studying the successful results achieved by Australian farmers with RLF products.

BENEFITS of priming the seed with phosphate and trace element-rich BSN are early establishment of healthier seedlings with an increased root surface area. Root system surface area increase and vigour improves the uptake of soil nutrients (eg. granular fertilisers), and ensures seedling survival in adverse conditions such as drought or erosion.

INDEPENDENT TRIAL RESULTS as well as weigh trailer measurements of commercial crop evaluation sites have shown yield increasing upwards of 7% as a result of seed priming with BSN. Some reasons for the yield increase are the early balanced nutritional status of the seedling and the more efficient root system that make the most of plant growth potential.
